Popular free book program started by Dolly Parton is coming to Grand Forks County

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is coming to Grand Forks County.

The free book reading program for kids will be available starting July 1.

The Community Foundation of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks & Region has helped lead a grassroots effort to raise $90,000 to launch the program.

Once enrolled, kids from birth to age five will receive a free book in the mail each month, regardless of family income or background.

The foundation aims to raise $100,000 annually to keep the program going.

Online enrollment for Grand Forks County families will open July 1 at imaginationlibrary.com.
