HORACE, N.D. (KVRR) – Ahead of what are traditionally the hottest months for the housing market, realtors and homebuilders have teamed up to showcase their newly built properties and flourishing communities.

The 2026 Parade of Homes – the ‘Spring Edition’ – showcased 61 homes, spread across 28 participants.

It began the weekend of May 2 and picked back up this weekend, displaying properties from Moorhead to Mapleton – and everywhere in between.

Even though mortgage interest rates continue to hover in the 6% range, industry professionals say home ownership is still possible in the current market.

“The market is actually pretty decent,” said Jessica Metcalf, Director of Sales, Marketing & Design for Thomsen Homes.

“As long as you’re asking the right questions, and working with experts – real estate agents, your mortgage lender, your homebuilder – we can help you get all the information necessary,” added Metcalf.

“It’s still possible to buy a home today. We’re selling lots of them.”

If you missed this weekend, you have one final chance to check out the 2026 parade. The last day is tomorrow, May 11, and the homes on the Parade will be open from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M.
