Habitat for Humanity anounces name change; growth for the future

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – You know what they say, if you want to build a house, you have to break a few eggs.
And that was the case at the inaugural Hard Hat Breakfast for Habitat for Humanity Fargo-Moorhead Area, formerly known as Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity.
Along with the name change, they shared stories of how their homeowners have been impacted, and their plans for the future.
Those plans include a community development to keep homeowners closer together.
“Our families, they work together through our build season, and it’s kind of sad to separate them and say “You’re going to go in this community and you’re going to go in this community.” We’d love to be able to build next door to each other so they already have a built-in community, they have other friends that can watch their kids and that kind of thing. And it helps us scale. It helps us be more efficient,” Pete Christopher said.
