FARGO (KVRR) — Fans of anime, science fiction, and pop culture are gathering in Fargo for the 2026 Fargo CoreCon.

The con is in full swing, having its first day on Thursday, and will be going on all weekend long.

There are rooms filled with classic retro video game console and arcade games for attendees to play, merchant booths, and panels covering a multitude of subjects.

This year’s con’s theme is entitled “Watch The Skies” focusing on space and science fiction.

“Something that a lot of people like, and I’ve always enjoyed it, is the hallway con part of it,” said Olivia Angst, one of the heads of operations for CoreCon. “(Y)ou can come in, join a group of people, and just start talking about your interests, or join them in a game of tabletop, and just meet new people.”

The CoreCon is being held at the Holiday Inn on 13th Ave. S., across from West Acres Mall, and runs through Sunday.
