Home Builders Association Expects Another Successful Year
The Home Builders Association expects another successful year after a busy start to the year.
At least 115 permits have already been issued in the metro.
That’s a slight decrease from the 124 permits issued last year, but HBA president Tom Spaeth says last year was the strongest start since 2004.
As the metro continues to grow, Spaeth urges people to reach out to city commissioners to show their support for the FM diversion.
“All we want to do is let them know that Fargo Moorhead is a regional economic center and if it was ever lost in a catastrophic flood it would be a huge downturn for the whole economy,” says Home Builders Association President, Tom Spaeth.
Compared to last year through March, 40 more single family permits were issued this year, while twin home construction is on the decline.
