ND Lutheran Social Services Celebrates Grand Opening
Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota is celebrating its new state-wide headquarters building in Fargo.
The organization held a ceremony that included a ribbon cutting and building dedication at its new spot along 39th Street and 20th Avenue South.
Speakers at the ceremony included Governor Jack Dalrymple, Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney.
The non-profit organization designed the building to honor and reflect North Dakota’s heritage.
“Reinforces the work that we do so we took this opportunity, which doesn’t come along very often to make sure that the space where we do our work is representing who we are. So kind of a tribute to values and to being a citizen of the state of North Dakota,” said LSS CEO Jessica Thomasson.
Themed parts of the building include The Northern Pike room, after the state fish, and the Meadowlark room celebrating the state bird.
