Moorhead Public Works Wants You To Go Green!

The City of Moorhead is wrapping up Earth Week by highlighting the importance of recycling.

Moorhead Public Works handed out free recycling bins at two of their main recycle collection locations.

Along with the free recycle bin, people also got a free reusable shopping bag.

Officials say it’s a way to encourage people in the area to go green.

“The more we recycle the less we put in a land fill, so we’re helping the Earth that way, and plus we take the material and it’s reused. Instead of getting virgin material from trees, or plastic virgin material, we can reuse that material,” said Steve of Moorhead Public Works.
 
This is the first annual recycle bin giveaway that the city has hosted.
