West Fargo Officer Assaulted During Traffic Stop

A West Fargo police officer was treated after being head-butted Saturday night.

29-year-old Terry Russell of Moorhead fled on foot after being pulled over.

The officer caught up with Russell and while being placed under arrest, Russell head butted him.

Russell was charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, fleeing, and driving under the influence.

His passenger, 35-year-old Adrian Simser, is charged with fleeing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
