Arctic Cat Expansion Project for Thief River Falls

One of the biggest manufacturers of snowmobiles and ATV’s in the region is looking at expanding in Thief River Falls.

Arctic Cat is asking the city for 15 years of property tax breaks for an addition that could cost upwards of $25 million and add up to 70-thousand square feet to its plant.

The expansion would also result in more jobs.

Nearly 40 employees are expected to be added to the 1,350 person workforce over three years.

The Thief River Falls city council will take up the request at a hearing next month.
