North Dakota lawmakers pass a bill that limits how drones can be used by law enforcement.
The measure says information from unmanned aerial vehicles can’t be used as probable cause for a search warrant.
Information obtained by drones can’t be used in court unless a warrant is obtained.
The bill also makes it illegal to use drones for private surveillance or for carrying lethal weapons.
They also passed a bill keeping private some video taken by police or firefighters wearing body cameras.
Both are headed to Gov. Dalrymple’s desk for his signature.
