Civic Center Consulting For Project Cost Estimate

A consulting firm has been selected to help re–purpose the Fargo Civic Center.

Consultants will be at the center starting Monday, April 13 for a 14–week period evaluating seating, stage configuration and determining how busy the facility would be if re–purposed.

They will also do a feasibility level study to come up with cost estimates for the city and potential private investors.

Right now, the center primarily holds athletic events and trade shows but the City of Fargo hopes to turn it into a multipurpose performance facility.

Enterprise Director Bruce Gibbs says, “One of the things that will be coming out of the study work that they do will be cost of retrofitting or flipping the Civic into a different function so that should be really interesting.”

This consulting will help determine whether or not the City of Fargo should move forward in the Civic Center project.
