Pet Connection: Meet Bilmuri

FARGO — She has an unusual name for a little girl, and at six months old, Bilmuri (pronounced “Bill Murray” just like the universally-adored actor) the boxer puppy is already a celebrity in our eyes.

She came to 4 Luv of Dog rescue by way of the Moorhead pound, significantly underweight and with no humans around to care for her.

Since then, she’s proven herself to be a real overachiever, mastering “sit” and “down,” cooperating quietly with being kenneled, and handling walking on a leash like a pro much older than her years.

She’s very submissive to older dogs, so you shouldn’t have to worry about her getting along with any dogs you already have.

Bilmuri does have some additional weight to put on, but she’s highly food motivated, which bodes well for training her on new skills as well as her gaining some much-needed muscle mass.

She’s still very much a floppy puppy and will park herself on your lap with no encouragement needed.

So if you’re looking to adopt a puppy and are hoping to bring home the easiest iteration of one, check out this star of good behavior’s profile, here:

And don’t forget to come out for 4 Luv’s annual Mutt March fundraiser next Wednesday.
