Vet Fest Offers Resources to Veterans, Celebrates America’s 250th
The event was primarily focused on making sure the VA was able to showcase everything available to the veterans, from assistance accessing disability benefits to making connections with mental health providers.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – America is celebrating its 250th birthday this year – and the Fargo VA used that occasion to give a fun presentation to a helpful event demonstrating their many available services.
On June 17, the VA played host to Vet Fest 2026.
The interior was filled with different informational booths, set up by the VA and their partner organizations, offering assistance with everything from pension questions, health care enrollment, and caregiver support.
VA staff say that this event is a prime example of how excited they are to help out the veterans in any way possible.
“Oh, this is awesome, because everyone here at the healthcare system loves the veterans we serve, and it’s a great honor to have this mission to serve veterans,” said Shawn Abbas, public affairs officer.
“We pride ourselves on being one of the best VA healthcare systems in the nation,” he added.
Admission to the event also gave veterans a chance to snag some free food in the form of pulled pork sandwiches.
