ST. THOMAS, N.D. (KVRR) — The city of St. Thomas, North Dakota, is traveling back in time fifty years with the opening of a time capsule.

The opening is a part of the city’s annual St. Thomas Daze celebration.

Activities are set to begin Thursday evening through Sunday.

Events include trivia, RibFest, horseshoe and cornhole tournaments, and class reunions.

And this year, new memories will be made for future generations with a new time capsule.

“We want to keep the tradition of St. Thomas Daze going. If I remember correctly, this is the 24th annual St. Thomas Daze Celebration,” said Andrea Douville, Committee Member for St. Thomas Daze.

“We want to keep this celebration going so that people can still come back here and see that their town is still thriving. And it is,” said Mona Dietrich, Committee Member for St. Thomas Daze.

St. Thomas Daze begins Thursday night at 5 p.m. with a car show.
