Fish Fry Dinner Fundraiser For Those In Need

People come from near and far for St. Joe’s Church’s Annual Lenten Fish Dinner.

The Fish Fry event is being sponsored by the church’s Charitable Concerns Committee.

All proceeds will go to individuals in need in Cass and Clay counties.

The dinner was held for three hours starting at 4 pm.

Volunteer Coordinator Jim Taylor says, “Basically to anyone who comes to us in need that have financial risk or they’re strapped for cash. You know, their car breaks down…we can maybe help them get it repaired or assist in that way.”

Last year, the dinner served over 500.

This year, they hope to reach 600.
