Bennett Elementary Gets a Lesson in Drone Operation

Talk about an exciting science lesson.

Third graders at Bennett Elementary got to see a demonstration of a flying drone.

The students are currently going through their “Objects in the Sky” science unit.

Tyler Mason of AirVuz did a presentation on how drones operate and what their purpose is.

Luckily, the weather cooperated and Mason was able to fly his drone for the students outside.

“So I think to educate kids at an early age just to kind of get to them to know what a drone is, how they fly, what’s important about flying them,” explained Mason. “And also to kind of show them that there’s good things that can be done with drones too because sometimes it gets a negative connotation. So just to teach them that at an early age I think is good.”

Mason says he also enjoys showcasing the Midwest through drone photography and videography.
