Riot Joins Grand Forks Police Department

The Grand Forks Police Department’s K9 unit has a new member.

Riot is a two-year-old Belgian Malinois.

Her handler is Officer Preston Engstrom.

She is a multipurpose dog trained in tracking, searching areas and buildings, locating evidence and other articles, and apprehending suspects.

The dog recently completed a 16-week course taught by police in Winnipeg.

Riot joins fellow K9 unit members Reno and Shelby.
