Sanford Honors Those Who Save Lives After Death

Sanford honors people who help save lives after death.

April is National Donate Life Month.

Sanford hospital raised a flag recognizing people who choose to donate organs.

The parents of 15-year-old Kelsey Misialek shared their story.

Kelsey died four years ago at the age of 15, but she helped an estimated 60 people with organs or tissues.

Her parents say that if you donate organs, your death will never be in vain.

More than 120,000 people are on waiting lists for organ transplants nationwide.
