Moorhead High Sends 19 Speech Students To Nationals

One of the largest speech teams attending the National Speech and Debate Tournament is Moorhead High.
 
19 students qualified but before they compete for the title this summer, they’re showcasing their skills.

Students held a show to fundraise for their trip.

This also gave family and friends an insight on their speaking skills.

With eight speech categories, students performed theatrical, political and informative pieces.

“I think it’s important for any high school to have a focus on speech. Before speech, I feel that I was no way near as confidence as I am now. No way near to articulate my point and I think any high school could benefit from a speech program,” says Moorhead High national qualifier Jack Mullally.
 
The national tournament takes place in Salt Lake City, this June.
