West Fargo Pool Sees More Families

People are either outside getting some sun or inside avoiding it.

Workers at Veterans Memorial Park Pool in West Fargo are surprised that no line has formed to get in.

It has been three years since the new pool opened, in the past when temperatures were high people of all ages were waiting to get in.

The pool’s facility manager says more and more families with young children are coming when in previous years there were more teens.

Parents typically sit in the sun while the children swim.

The water slides that were added to the remodeled pool are most appealing to children ages ten to 12. People older than that may be skipping the pool all together.

The pool hasn’t reached capacity of 277 all week.

The fee to get in the pool $3, and the pool will remain open as long as it is above 62 degrees.
