Fargo Police Chief Gets An Invite From The White House

You know you’re doing something right, when you get an invitation from the White House.

Fargo Police Chief Dave Todd will fly to DC on Thursday to discuss how police agencies can engage and interact with their communities.

Chief Todd says Fargo’s ranking as the biggest city in the state may have been a reason for the invite.

He also says another reason could be the progressive efforts the Fargo PD has made to connect with the community.

“It’s engaging other leaders in law enforcement and other organizations to see what’s working for them, trade ideas, give them some thoughts on what we think is working in our department and also be honest about some of the areas where we can improve on,” says Fargo Police Chief, David Todd.

Chief Todd says the department has been working on engaging youth including underprivileged and minorities.

He says as the city of Fargo becomes more diverse, he also hopes to diversify his officers.
