Rare Beer Picnic Is A Brewing Success
Beer nerds unite at the Davy Park in Moorhead for the second annual “Rare Beer Picnic.”
More than 400 people spent their evening sampling beer from 10 different brewers.
Both local brewing companies and home brewers had beer varying from aged, soured and infused.
Organizers say this gives breweries a chance to showcase their skills and offer new and exciting drinks to the public.
“I think it’s a cool festival, it focuses on beers that you don’t usually find. We’re trying to focus on special beers. Beers that breweries have been aging, things that they’ve done special infusion with and more experimental,” says owner of Junkyard Brewing Company Aaron Juhnke.
The Rare Beer Picnic was made possible by Junkyard Brewing Company, High Plains Reader and Usher’s House.
