“Gear Head” Kids Show Off STEM Skills With Legos
Local fourth and fifth graders pieced together a week’s worth of lessons with the help of Legos.
NDSU hosted a Gear Heads academy for elementary students.
They spent four days learning engineering skills and put their new skills to the test customizing Lego kits, making everything from engine-powered race cars to working clocks.
Today they showed their creations off to their parents.
The gear heads camp is one of just five STEM-related classes NDSU offered for kids this week.
