Local Art Decorating Downtown Moorhead

Local art continues to pop up throughout downtown Moorhead.

This mural of Moorhead’s zip code is on the side of Ace Hardware.

It was put up on the store Sunday.

Local artists say they want to add more art throughout the community.

The artists of the mural talked to management at Ace, who approved the idea.

“Murals are great examples of ways that businesses can collaborate with artists to really make our downtown shine, and we as individual business owners or as individual artists can collaborate and make that happen,” Mara Morken, a community artist, said.

An Ace employee says response to the mural has been overwhelmingly positive.
