Setting Up For The Red River Valley Fair
The Red River Valley Fair is here in town and workers are gearing up for the busy week ahead of them.
Carnival workers rolled into town last week to start the setup.
Some employees said the overnight thunderstorm gave them a late start but the classic rides and food booths should be all done by tonight.
Workers say the weather may not be ideal but it’s not enough to rain on their parade.
“Obviously with some of the rides, if there’s lightning or anything, you have to stop the ride. but we have a lot of other buildings and exhibits, livestock, our vendor mall, everything else to see on ground still. So there’s still a lot of stuff people can come out and see,” says Red River Valley Marketing Coordinator Katy Stenerson.
The fair kicks off Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. and runs until Sunday.
Tickets can be purchased at a Petro Save or at the main gates.
