Inmate Assaults Cass County Deputy

An inmate is in more trouble after assaulting a deputy at the Cass County Jail.

Ansu Kamara has been placed under arrest for Felony Assault of a Peace Officer.

Kamara followed Deputy Sean Brekke into his cell, pulled the cell door shut, locking it, and began to strike and head butt the deputy on Saturday.

Deputy Brekke was able to fend off Kamara until other deputies showed up.

Both the deputy and inmate were treated for minor injuries.
