Ten Arrested in Weekend Sobriety Checkpoint in Cass County

Authorities arrested ten people for impaired driving during a sobriety checkpoint on Friday night.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol set up the checkpoint on Highway 17, just north of Horace.

More than 160 vehicles passed through and 21 drivers had additional screening.

Of the ten that were arrested, three were caught driving under the influence of alcohol, two were driving under the influence of drugs and seven were arrested for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia and other narcotics.
