Man Knocked Unconscious, Robbed Outside Fargo Restaurant

A violent strong-armed robbery outside a downtown Fargo restaurant sends a man to the hospital.

It happened around 2 a.m. outside Fryn’ Pan on Main Avenue.

The victim told police he was in the bathroom when another man asked him if he’d like to go outside for a cigarette.

While outside, the man asked the victim for his wedding ring.

When he said no, a third man came up from behind him and hit him over the head.

He was knocked unconscious, and his wallet was stolen.

Police say it’s unclear if the two men teamed up to rob the victim.

“We don’t know that at this point. One can make that conclusion, but we don’t know. Hopefully the video will show the suspect and we’ll be able to identify that individual,” says Fargo Deputy Police Chief Joe Anderson.

Police don’t have a many details about the attacker, only that he’s allegedly a black male.
