Lawyer Asks for Dismissal of Fargo Woman’s Walmart Lawsuit

A lawyer for Walmart wants a lawsuit filed by a Fargo woman thrown out of federal court.

Stacy Knudson claims she slipped and fell on a puddle of water near the 52nd Avenue South store entrance on the day after Christmas.

Knudson claims she suffered “excruciating pain” and permanent injuries.
She is seeking damages in excess of $75,000.

Defense attorney Daniel Ashmore says Knudson’s own negligence contributed to her injuries.

He says there were numerous customers in and around the area directly prior to the fall, which likely affected the condition of the floor.
