Breckenridge Man Rescued from Icy Bois de Sioux River
A Breckenridge man was treated for hypothermia after he fell into the Bois de Sioux River Saturday night.
It happened around 7:30 last night.
A man in his 40’s was 10 to 15 feet from shore near the Dakota Avenue Bridge in Wahpeton when the thin ice cracked.
He fell into two to three feet of water.
Area firefighters and police were able to get the man out.
His name has not been released.
The incident is being investigated.
