NDSU Announces Lineup of Events for Football Spring Game Weekend
The North Dakota State University athletic department has announced its lineup of events for the annual spring football game weekend.
The annual Bison Showcase will take place on Friday, April 22, at the Fargodome. There will be a silent auction with many one-of-a-kind items, including signed Carson Wentz memorabilia and a Bison harvest helmet. A complete list of auction items will be posted online in early April. Bison coaches and staff will be in attendance to mingle with fans. Performance coach and motivational speaker Ben Newman will provide the keynote address on Bison culture. Admission to the Bison Showcase is $40 and can be purchased online at GoBison.com or by phone at (701) 231-7447. Ticket includes food and a commemorative Bison gift.
The annual Green and Gold Spring Game will be Saturday, April 23. Kickoff is scheduled for approximately 1:30 p.m. at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome and admission is free. The east lobby will open at 9 a.m., and the NDSU football team will be available for autographs from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. in the north concourse of the Fargodome. Doors for the spring game will open at 12 p.m., and fans may enter through the south and east entrances. The 2015 Bison will be honored with a national championship ring ceremony at 1 p.m.
New to the spring game weekend this year is the NDSU Tailgate Expo. The expo will run from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday and will showcase the newest in tailgating products and equipment along with the newest official licensed Bison products on display and ready for sale. In addition, there will be Games Galore for the kids and other interactive activities for fans. Vendor list will be released soon. To become a vendor, please contact Tara Hoyme at 231-7197 or tara.hoyme@ndsu.edu
Tailgating lots open at 9 a.m. and will be free to the public with spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. The tailgate lots will close at 4 p.m. As a reminder from the Fargo Fire Department, no fire pits are allowed at tailgating.
Fans can have their picture taken with the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 NCAA Division I FCS national championship trophies before the game.
TV and radio coverage will be announced later this month.
