Fargo Police K-9 Team Visits Washington Elementary

Fargo Police officer Jeremiah Ferris, and his K9 companion Bali, were out visiting students at Washington Elementary.

A group of 5th graders had the chance to see firsthand some of Bali’s capabilities as a police dog.

Students also were educated on the benefits of having K9s as a part of the police unit.

“We have a yearly presentation with our K9 unit, and it’s just fun to have them both in the building, and like I said, our kids get to see the police officers, and K9s as a helping unit in our community,” said Dana Carlson, Principal at Washington Elementary.

The visit is a part of the Smart Choices, Bright Futures program at the school.
