Caucus Voters React: Election 2016 with Brittany Ford

Super Tuesday polls have officially closed, and it is a matter of minutes before we know who will win Minnesota’s vote.

KVRR’s Brittany Ford joins us from a packed Memorial Union at MSUM where the Democratic Party held its caucus.

Earlier Brittany was out talking to caucus attendees from both parties as they prepared to cast their votes.

Republican caucus voters out at Moorhead High say the caucus is a valued tradition.

It’s a tradition that allows voters the chance to have a say in their government.

“There’s a lot of dissatisfaction with government now as we have it in this country. A lot of dissatisfaction, this is our chance to both vent our frustrations, and choose somebody to be the next president,” said Brad Leeser of the Republican Caucus.

Over at MSUM for the Democratic Party caucus, many young voters were experiencing event for the first time.

“I’ve never experienced this before with a caucus, and I was actually undecided on republican and Democratic Party so to be able to support Democratic Party with an independent runner as Bernie Sanders. I think that’s awesome it’s a great historical stand point,” said Benjamin Collin of the Democratic Caucus.
