Fargo Narrows Down To Top 5 Contractors For Downtown Master Planning
A planning selection committee met to review contractor proposals for the new development of Downtown Fargo.
The City Center Comprehensive Plan, also known as the “Downtown Plan,” is still in search of a contractor.
The committee reviewed proposals sent by contractors and narrowed them down to five finalists.
The finalists are Hoisington Koeglar Group Inc., BNIM, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP, Urban Design Associates and Interface Studio.
The city commission allocated a budget of $330,000 towards the master planning.
“It’s a big deal. I think if the plan gets put together right, I think it’s going to be major factor in terms of economic development and the vision for downtown Fargo. Just setting the blueprint on how the downtown area will evolve in the next 20 years,” says Fargo City Planner Joe Nigg.
The committee plans to interview the finalists mid-March.
