Update: Fire destroys house near Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Fire destroyed a home south of Moorhead shortly before 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.  The fire was in the 4400 block of Highway 52.

Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says two people got out by jumping from a second-floor window.  They were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.  Some pets inside the house could not be saved.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Moorhead, Dilworth, and Sabin fire departments along with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire.
