Oakes Man Dies in Crash with Tractor

Castro suffered from head injuries and died at the scene

GWINNER, ND — An Oakes man died after he rear-ended a tractor pulling a disc plow over the weekend.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol identified the victim as 39-year-old Oscar Castro.

The crash happened on state Highway 13 east of Gwinner about 10:30 Saturday night.

Castro suffered from head injuries and died at the scene.

The driver of the tractor wasn’t hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
