Kids have a chance to step back in time at Fargo Public Library.

In spirit of Shakespeare Fest, the downtown library is hosting Shakespeare for kids and even William himself made an appearance.

Kids enjoyed tea, biscuits, stories and a few sword fights, well, newspaper sword fights.

The hope is to instill a passion for Shakespeare at a young age.

“I happen to know somebody that I work with who is such a fan of Shakespeare, she just loves it. And to see the enthusiasm that she has and it would be terrific to foster that in kids and let them grow up with the exposure,” says Fargo Children’s Librarian Cindy Mason.

The library will play three Shakespeare movies throughout the month.

And just in time for Valentine’s day, tomorrow the library will be playing the classic Romeo and Juliet.
