Charities Rack Up Dollars for Giving Hearts Day

It is giving hearts day, and dollar signs have been adding up for charities throughout North Dakota and northeaster Minnesota.

The 24 hour online fundraising event hosted by the Dakota Medical Foundation is celebrating its 8th year.

This year, over 300 charities are taking part in Giving Hearts Day.

Each charity that reaches over $4,000 will be matched in funds.

“It’s an awesome day to lift up almost 330 charities across the state of North Dakota. These charities get to work together to tell the story of the amazing work they do for their community. It’s also an opportunity for them to connect with donor and build lifelong relationships,” said Sara Stolt, Giving Hearts Day Manager.

The event made almost $7 million last year and organizers are hoping to top that this year
