Fargo Teen’s Wish Comes True
A local Fargo teen has her wish to see Reba McEntire come true.
The Make–A–Wish Foundation is making AnnaLeigh Holzer’s wish to see the TV and country music star a reality.
AnnaLeigh has watched every episode of “Reba” on the internet while recovering from open heart surgery to repair her congenital heart defect.
And she’s excited to meet her hero in person.
“I like her music and I like her show,” said AnnaLeigh.
“She was in heart failure for almost a year while they were deciding how to do her repair. And she was unable to go to school and she watched a lot of ‘Reba’ reruns,” said Melissa Holzer, AnnaLeigh’s mother.
The family is hoping that AnnaLeigh’s story inspires awareness for congenital heart defects.
The family will be in Nashville through the weekend and will meet with Reba on Saturday.
