Governor Dayton Reverses Decision on Minnesota’s Tax Bill
Some Republicans say Dayton exceeded his constitutional authority

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota Governor Dayton has reversed course on his decision not to sign the Tax Bill and allow it to become law without his signature.
He issued a statement around 11 o’clock last night saying he “did” sign the bill to fulfill the requirements to protect the funding for the Department of Revenue.
There is still a dispute over his decision to line-item veto funding for the House and Senate for four years since he was upset with the legislature over certain tax cuts.
Some Republicans say Dayton exceeded his constitutional authority.
Dayton says the courts will have to decide.
