Little Falls Teen Admits to Fatal Texting and Driving Crash

A Little Falls teen now admits she was texting before slamming into a van killing a father and his 10-year-old daughter.

The 17-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal vehicular homicide in Sherburne County.

Prosecutors say the teen ignored her friend’s plea to stop texting and driving before the July crash that killed Charles Maurer and his daughter, Cassy.

The teen initially told authorities her boyfriend was driving the truck.

She will be sentenced next month.
