2015 Proves Strong Construction Year for Fargo and Moorhead
The Homebuilders Association of Fargo-Moorhead released its building permit report and 2015 was another strong year for construction activity in the FM.
Numbers show that permit values issued last year were the second highest since 2008.
Building permits in the metro collectively brought in over $800 million with a total of more than 4,000 permits issued.
“We’re no longer just an Ag community. We have all types of other businesses so this metropolitan area is so diverse, and has so many things going on it takes a lot to slow down. It kind of constantly feeds on itself and keeps growing,” said Clay Dietrich of the FM Home Builders Association.
Compared to 2014, the total permits issued were down by just one percent.
