UND President List Narrowed Down to Seven

Steven Shirley and a former Minnesota congressman are still in the running to become President of UND.

The search committee narrowed the pool of candidates down to 7 after interviewing 16 people in the Twin Cities.

Shirley is the current president of Minot State University.

Mark Kennedy, a one term congressman, is also in the running along with 5 other out of state nominees.

A final recommendation is expected in March.
