Woman Found Not Guilty in Fatal Clay County Texting and Driving Case
A Clay County jury finds a woman not guilty on three felonies from a 2014 crash that killed a Moorhead woman.
Sarah Jo Braith, 21, had been charged with criminal vehicular homicide in the crash that killed Angela Pangelinan on Highway 9 near Barnesville.
Angela’s husband was seriously hurt in the crash.
Prosecutors claimed Braith was texting when she crashed into two motorcycles.
Her attorney says evidence showed her last text was more than one full minute before the crash.
Braith was convicted of three misdemeanor counts of careless driving.
