Zika Virus Case Confirmed in Minnesota
Minnesota health officials have confirmed the first case of the Zika virus this year.
It was found in a woman in her 60s living in Anoka County who returned from a trip to Honduras.
She was never hospitalized and is expected to make a full recovery.
The rare mosquito-borne virus is spreading in Latin America and the Caribbean and usually causes a mild illness but is suspected in an unusual birth defect and other health issues.
Minnesota last reported at case in 2014.
