Fall is nearly upon us, and there may be no better time of year to get your kids outdoors and enjoying life in the Upper Midwest than in the fall season.

The folks at the Northern Lights Council of the Boy Scouts of America are starting their recruitment campaign now, and KVRR’s Morning Show welcomed District Coordinator Kevin Mehrer live in-studio to talk with Emily Welker about why the Scouts are more relevant these days in some ways than ever before. From the fun, exciting outdoor adventures the Scouts offer, to training in wilderness readiness and lifesaving, to the simple impulse to get your kids off the couch, away from the screen and into real-life experience, the Scouts has something for almost everyone.
