State Superintendent Baesler Running for Second Term
Kirsten Baesler is running for a second term as North Dakota’s superintendent of public instruction.
Baesler will request a letter of support from delegates to the Republican state convention, which is being held in early April in Fargo.
She says she wants to continue progress on a number of education initiatives, including strengthening college preparation for high school seniors.
The state teacher licensing board voted unanimously against disciplining Baesler last April after a simple assault charge against her was dropped.
She was involved in an alleged domestic dispute with her then fiancé.
