Food Stamp Use Down in North Dakota
The number of North Dakotans using food stamps is dropping.
An average of 53,341 people used food stamps monthly in 2015.
That’s down about 150 people from 2014 and more than 2,200 in 2013.
The state’s strong economy and plentiful jobs are being credited for the decline.
A family of two can qualify for help with an income of less than $1,726 per month.
