Multiple Arrests in MOA and MSP Protests
Police reports show that five men and three women were arrested in protests that briefly shut down a terminal at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Wednesday.
The eight people were arrested on charges ranging from unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct to obstructing police.
They range in age from 18 to 36 years, and came from as far away as Massachusetts.
The airport protest occurred soon after protesters were ordered to leave the nearby Mall of America.
The demonstration blocked traffic and led to airport security checkpoint closures.
Four people were arrested at the mall for trespassing or disorderly conduct violations.
