38th St. Andrew’s Society event held in Moorhead
MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — In the air, you could hear bag pipes, the smell of haggis and feel the Scottish pride for the 38th St. Andrew’s Society event.
This annual program connects those with Scottish roots, and allows them a chance to eat some traditional food like haggis and be seranaded with music of the bagpipes.
For Cynthia Sillers, she’s been a part of the program for many, many years.
Her father help start it 38 years ago, and now she carries on that tradition.
“It’s a lot of extra work but it’s worth it when you see and feel the environment and how people are loving come to this and connect to that heritage,” said Sillers.
According to Sillers, there were over 150 people there at the dinner, celebrating those Scottish roots.
